Biography[]
One night in 1984, when her husband returns home, his wife hears him knock over one of the poles supporting the clothes line. Yelling at her husband from a window for the mess he has made, Harold rights the pole and wanders off. Edna turns her attention back to the television, which makes reference to a series of murders and massacres having been committed nearby. Shocked by the news of the slayings and after the footage is shown of murder spree survivor named Ginny Field, Edna eventually goes outside to collect the laundries, briefly spotting Jason Voorhees, whom she mistakes for Harold. Going back inside after collecting the laundries, Edna notices one of her knitting needles is gone. She finds her husband in the midst of eating junk food and berates him for it. Edna was reminding him of the doctor's orders that he should lose weight before sending him off to put one of his pet rabbits back in the rabbit pen.[2]

Edna's death at the hands of Jason Voorhees
When her husband comes running back inside to use the washroom, Edna was nearly bowled over by him. Edna assumed that the food he ate has given him the runs. While Harold uses the washroom, Edna begins watching television game shows. While watching television, Edna, hearing noises nearby, goes off to investigate. Looking around in another room, Edna was startled by a rat and stumbles backwards in fear. Still distracted by the rat, Edna was ultimately grabbed by Jason, who punches through the wire mesh of the window behind her and stabs her through the back of the head with one of her own knitting needles. In the morning, Edna's body was found and moved by the paramedics.
