- Chad wears a Speedo in the "Spring Break 1984" DLC, and a karate gi in the "Costume Party" DLC.
- His hairstyle could be based off Trent Sutton, a character from Friday the 13th (2009).
- There's an achievement in Friday the 13th: The Game which refers to Chad, and is called "Chad Is A Dick", the achievement is rewarded for escaping in a car or the boat by yourself. Despite his name in the title, you don't have to be playing as Chad to get it. However, if the player flees in a vehicle after all other players have died or escaped, the achievment will not be awarded.
- Chad's costume party attire of a black gi may have been inspired by the character Johnny Lawrence from The Karate Kid.
- Chad's hair often changes from brown to blonde.
- Chad is the only character to appear in every single opening cutscene.
- Chad is the first and only character to see Jason after he kills Rob Dier in the opening cutscenes, and is usually seen with a scared look on his face after finding him and Dier's corpse.
