The Hellbaby is a creature depicted in the 1993 film Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday. Within the context of the plot, this demon is the carrier of Jason Voorhees' soul as well as those of his victims. It came to be after Jason's original body was destroyed by an FBI assault.
The demon is parasitic, presumably nesting in the respiratory or digestive system of its host and transferring from one body to another through the mouth. Its presence degrades the host, riddling them with necrotic diseases and keeping them alive even after being fatally injured.
Upon leaving a body, the victim is subjected to the full pain of their injuries as well as their now-necrotic body. This causes all of their soft tissue and organs to melt away in a matter of seconds, resulting in an agonizing and disturbing death and leaving only their skeleton.
