The Irish cop was a police officer in New York City in Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan.
He agreed to help Rennie, Sean, Colleen, and Charles find Julius and Toby, when they saw Julius's severed head; he called for backup, but Jason Voorhees grabbed hold of him, dragged him into an alley, which also broke the string of the radio, killing him off-screen.
