The Jarvis House was the former home of the Jarvis family consisting of youngest child Tommy Jarvis, his older sister, Trish Jarvis and finally their mother, Tracy Jarvis. Directly across from the outdoor home was a large summer home that could be rented for vacations and weekend getaways. It was located somewhere on the shore of Crystal Lake, somewhere near the Packanack Lodge and Higgins Haven and very close to the infamous Camp Crystal Lake.
The home made its first appearance in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.
The Jarvis House was occupied by The Jarvis Family in 1984. Their home consisted of a large living room, three bedrooms for Trish, Tracy & Tommy, a kitchen and a bathroom. The family lived there peacefully for years. That all changed one dark, rainy and stormy night of July 18, 1984 when an unwanted intruder Jason Voorhees, arrives and kills, Tracy, Rob, a pair of teenaged twins and all six of the teenagers vacationing at the vacation home next door.
Likely because of the house's damage caused from Jason's unwanted presence, Mrs. Jarvis being killed, Trish recuperating in The Hospital and eventually going off to college and finally Tommy being under the care of child psychologist and doctor, Lauren Marino, The house was likely abandoned and/or repossessed.
