- "after it happened, I expected someone to do something. I expected parents to show up with questions and concerns. I thought the police would've done more, but nothing happened, nothing changed. They opened it again, the next year, and they were back to their old habits. They're just kids, right? So was he, he was just an innocent boy! I was a good mother to him. My boy, my sweet, sweet...Jason"
- ―Pamela Voorhees in the Friday the 13th: The Game official announcement trailer
Jason Voorhees is the main antagonist and playable character in Friday the 13th: The Game. He died when he drowned at the lake. He roams Camp Crystal Lake stalking and killing any trespassers in remorse of his mother's death. He takes several forms in-game, all but one based on his appearances in the films. In addition to a unique weapon, each Jason begins a match with a set number of crude homemade bear traps (amount dependent on the Jason selected), and can find throwing knives during the game.

Virtual Cabin Info[]
Kid Jason/Friday the 13th[]
The Murderous history of Camp Crystal Lake, and the locals' warnings do not deter new counselors from setting up a summer camp. One by one, the counselors are stalked and slaughtered by a merciless and mysterious killer -- Pamela Voorhees. She is on a rampage to avenge the death of her son Jason, who drowned in the lake because irresponsible and promiscuous counselors were not supervising him. The film ends with one of the most memorable stingers in cinema history.
Part 2 Jason[]
After surviving his supposed drowning and living alone in the woods for more than 20 years, Jason emerges just in time to witness the murder of his mother, Pamela Voorhees. This event kicks off a bloody trail of revenge as 'Sackhead' Jason decimates nearly every Counselor at the Packanack Lodge training center. Only the aspiring child psychologist, Ginny Field, is able to outsmart and eventually 'defeat' Jason deep inside his dark and dilapidated lair. An epic ending for sure, but one question still remains..."Where the hell is Paul?"
Part 3 Jason[]
After barely surviving his encounter with Ginny in Part 2. Jason sets his sights on a new section of Crystal Lake ... Higgins Haven. Sporting the iconic hockey mask ad an impressive muscular build, Jason doles out punishment in glorious 3D as he kills nearly everyone in sight. Only after being stabbed, hung, and struck in the head with an axe, is Jason finally 'defeated' by heroine Chris Higgins in one of the series' best endings. Thanks to Friday the 13th: Part 3. a horror icon was born that still strikes fear into the hearts of millions more than 30 years later. After August 13th, 1982, a hockey mask would never look the same again.
Part 4 Jason (The Final Chapter)[]
Billed to be the end of the series, The Final Chapter delivers a thrilling resolution, if not an ending. Part IV is perhaps most notable for two things, the first one being Crispin Glover. His dance to woo one of the twins is one of the most idiosyncratic and perplexing dances in all of cinema. Of a more important note, The Final Chapter introduced to canon the mask-obsessed Tommy Jarvis played by the burgeoning star Corey Feldman. By ingenuity or madness, Tommy dresses up as a young boy-Jason in the final confrontation and delivers the mortal machete blows that would send Jason to his temporary grave.
Part 6 Jason (Jason Lives)[]
After a traumatic battle with Jason years earlier. a much older and very troubled Tommy Jarvis returns in Friday the 13th Part 6 to destroy Jason's body once and for all. Unfortunately, the plan fails and Jason is inadvertently brought back to life. Armed with a utility belt, a hunting knife, and throwing darts. "Undead Jason" is able to gruesomely murder 18 people at Camp "Forest Green" before he's defeated and returned to the bottom of Crystal Lake. But for how long?
Part 7 Jason (The New Blood)[]
Drowned and chained to the bottom of Crystal Lake at the end of Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives. it's the telekinetic Tina Shepard, Part 7's 'Final Girl' that mistakenly brings Jason back to life. The New Blood features several intense battle scenes. creatively brutal kills (Sleeping Bag anyone?). and memorable characters, but more importantly, this film marks the first time Kane Hodder would step into the role of Jason Voorhees. Kane's intimidating portrayal of Jason quickly propelled him into a fan favorite. and ultimately allowed Kane to don the hockey mask for the next three films.
Part 8 Jason (Jason Takes Manhattan)[]
Once again portrayed by Kane Hodder, this installment follows Jason as he tracks a new group of victims from Crystal Lake to the bright lights of Manhattan. While only a tiny portion was actually filmed in Manhattan, that didn't stop Paramount from heavily promoting the NY angle. Jason slashing through the "I Love New York" logo became popular enough that the New York City Tourism Committee filed a complaint. Hell, Jason even made a surprise visit on The Arsenio Hall Show. We also saw future star Kelly Hu make her film debut. Not bad.
Part 9 Jason (Jason Goes to Hell)[]
No doubt the most divisive entry in the franchise. Jason Goes to Hell's decision to focus on the "possession" angle meant virtually no screen time for Jason himself. You can see how this might be a problem. Still, the film had an array of brutal kills, a cool Jason design, and a demonic soundtrack created by Harry Manfredini. Freddy's appearance at the end was controversial, but it helped set the stage for Freddy vs. Jason, not to mention the Tom Savini designed Jason created exclusively for our game.
Doll Jasons[]
After the success of the first movie, Frank Mancuso Sr. the CEO of Paramount Pictures wanted to make the franchise into a serial with each movie having a different story. It was reportedly Phil Scuderi, Steve Minasian and Bob Barsamian, who insisted that the sequel have Jason Voorhees. There are over 100 licensed Friday the 13th products and toys. Together they have grossed more than $125 million in revenue.
Jason's Grave[]
Part VI has the first of two times that Jason is electrocuted back to life. The idea came from Director Tom McLoughlin and was inspired from old Universal horror movies, particularly Frankenstein.
Trivia[]
- The Final Friday Jason differs from the film version, having his left eye out instead of his right (to keep it consistent with the other films, as well as the other models in-game). Additionally, his unmasked face is original to the game, having never been shown unmasked in the film it's based on.
- Savini Jason was designed by Tom Savini exclusively for the game, based on "his vision of what Jason would look like after returning from Hell". It was only available for a limited time for people who played the game early in its development or supported the game on Kickstarter.
- Though called a spear in-game, Part VI Jason's weapon is actually the cemetery fence post that he used the film.
- Retro Jason is an alternate skin color for Part III Jason and is based on the 1989 video game Jason.
- In this game's continuity, the Pamela Tapes reveal that Elias Voorhees is not Jason's biological father, and that Jason was conceived when Pamela was raped by an unknown man.
