"...My brother also said that Jason, who was still in the lake, witnessed his mother's death and returned from the grave to seek out revenge on anyone who entered the camp... or some stuff like that. I don't really know, it was stupid, but... man, that story used to scare the hell out of me."

Biography

"Camp Crystal Lake. I can't believe it."
―Kyle McLeod

Kyle McLeod was a hiker and internet personality who vlogged about his various trips and adventures.

While on a hike in the Wessex County National Forest, Kyle discovered a trail marker that wasn't in his guidebook and decided to follow it, curious. After crossing a sign warning against trespassing, he came across the long lost remains of Camp Crystal Lake, and unknowingly attracting the attention of Jason Voorhees.

He explored the area, filming his discoveries and reminiscing about the stories his brother told him of the area, including Pamela Voorhees's murders in 1979 and Jason's subsequent killing sprees. Kyle eventually found Pamela Voorhees's head and was ambushed and attacked by Jason.

He attempted to fight back but was quickly overpowered and forced to flee, abandoning his gear. Despite tripping over barbed wire and injuring his leg, he managed to escape Jason.

As night fell, Kyle realized his injury risked infection and that the only way he could get out alive was to go back to Camp Crystal Lake and retrieve his equipment, including medicine to treat it. He then filmed a video recording his experience, warning people that Jason Voorhees was real and the stories were true, and emotionally telling his family he loved them and that he was sorry.

Kyle snuck back into the camp, evading a still prowling Jason and treating his injury. However, Jason discovered him and Kyle was forced to defend himself. At the same time, Jason stabbed Kyle in the abdomen with a machete as Kyle drove an axe into Jason's neck. The pair fell and Kyle realized his guide book had absorbed most of the blow, leaving him wounded but alive.

However, Jason revived after several moments and pulled the axe out of his neck, rising to resume the chase. Kyle fled, hallucinating Jason leaping out of the lake and killing him before waking up in an ambulance, having apparently collapsed. He was being seen to by Deni Morgan and Axel Macauley. As the pair tended to Kyle he again hallucinated Jason standing in the Ambulance with him until he was sedated, simply saying "He's still out there."

Deni informed their driver, an older Tommy Jarvis, of this, thinking Kyle was referring to another hiker. As Tommy called in, he was attacked and dragged out of the ambulance by Jason. Axel attempted to help him, but was killed by Jason, as was Deni. As Jason prepared to kill Kyle, Tommy returned to the ambulance and managed to drive away, saving Kyle's life.
