The New York City Diner is a small diner/cafe that appears in Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan.

The Diner first appears when a waitress is lazily taking a phone call. Shortly afterwards, Terrified teenagers Renee Wickham & Sean Robertson run into the diner and demand to call the police. The waitress lazily informs the pair that there's a payphone in the back but it's broken. Rennie tells the waitress that a maniac is trying to kill her and Sean, But the waitress, makes a joke about the reality of how normal psychopaths trying to kill people are in New York City. Immediately after the waitress's joke, Jason Voorhees bursts through the door, continuing his persuit of Wickham & Robertson. The undead murderous tourist with little to no effort easily disposes of The Head Chef who tried to act cute with him by throwing him into a nearby mirror, incapacitating him. Jason slowly walks out of the diner, leaving a wake of terrified New Yorkers to watch his itimidating presence.
